Hope Kids

In rhythm with Metro Hope’s mission to, “Serve those that serve the world”, Metro Hope Kids seeks to serve the families of our congregation with a robust children’s program that emphasizes authentic relationships with God and others. In order to cultivate that community, we desire to be inclusive to all children, and build relationships across gender, race, age, culture and class, in our program and in the church.

It is our hope and prayer that children part of our program will have a strong and foundational understanding of what it means to be an child of the Kin-dom of God, living out the great commission: to love God with all our heart, soul, strength, and mind, to love our neighbors as ourselves, and to go into all the world and make disciples.

Women’s Gathering

The women’s gathering offers an opportunity for women to connect outside of weekly worship service. It is a time to meet up, get to know and support one another.

As a part of Metro's Core Values, we seek to participate with God in the renewal of the world. As a result, Metro supports small businesses with Cash Mob events.

A cash mob is a local, neighborhood effort to gather friends, partners, and residents to promote a small business by patronizing it in large numbers and with cash. Statistically, a dollar bill circulates more around the community than plastic and it eliminates the charges that business has to pay to credit card companies.

Following Sunday service, we make our way to the target business and extend our gathering there as a form of blessing that business, spending at least $15 to $20.

Exodus Transitional Community

Become_A_Sponsor.jpg

We’ve partnered up with Exodus Transitional Community, who’ve supported more than 10,000 people affected by the criminal justice system, advocating for their rights, collaborating with them on skill-building, and placing these resilient, hard-working, talented individuals in jobs all over New York State.

The Serve the World Experience (SWE) is a 15-week, virtual circle and vocational discernment experience, which is an extension of Metro Hope Church’s mission to “Serve those who serve the world.” SWE involves various dimensions of ministry preparation. Through our hybrid model, we are able to train ministers inside the church and across the country who are looking to integrate personal formation, place based work, and justice in their work in the world. SWE has equipped pastoral leaders, seminary students, faith activists, as well as people exploring how their “shepherding gifts” can translate outside of the church into both nonprofit and corporate contexts.
